The Digital Pass is an exciting innovation!

We've designed a way for us all to be together for a unique and inspiring iCON experence.


Real-time Online Participation in Labs, Activities, and Programming

Real-time Online Championship Tournament Experience

On-Demand Recordings with access until  December 31, 2020!


We're offering Digital Passes for:

  • Students 13-18
  • Recommended Staff Assistants (RSA's)
  • Adults


Students ages 13-18, RSA's, and adults from all over the globe will experience labs, workshops, activities, and programs that they will join in real-time participation. The RSA experience will be provided in real time with asynchronous options for those unable to join all of it in real time.



Join us in real time online. iCON will be posted for on demand viewing after August 15. 


What about the Championship Tournament?

Every tournament participant will compete online in real time, at the same time, wherever in the world they are! All times are in the U.S. Central Time Zone.

We're offering an in-person leadership experience at the ICC Training Center for staff and leaders who will host and deliver iCON!


We're offering the In-Person experience for volunteers in a leadership role:

  • Area & Global Student and Leader Team members
  • Area Leaders, Student Leader Liaisons, Area Coordinators, Global Leaders

This event satisfies the eligibility requirement for student leadership in an ICC chapter and other leadership roles, provided the event is attended in its entirety.

The Apprentice experience is not available this year.

Recommended Staff Assistant


  • RSA's, at this time, will all register for the Digital Pass.
  • Make sure you meet the eligibility requirements to serve in this role. They can be found on the website: RSA
  • Registration deadline is June 24!
  • RSA's must be present during the entire conference, whether digitally or in-person.


For In-Person RSA's

Arrival: Sunday, July 12 2:00 pm

Arrival flights need to arrive Nashville no later than noon.

Departure: Friday, July 17 7:30 am

Departing flights must depart no earlier than 10:30 am.

Remember: Nashville is in U.S. Central Time.

  • RSA's are required to take the iRSA Academy Course.
  • Registration fee for iRSA is included in iCON registration. You'll be automatically added to the classroom.
  • Transportation: Transportation is provided for RSA's arriving at the airport without an adult chaperone. Request by completing the travel form in the iRSA classroom. Note: specific travel times required.
  • NOTE: last airport drop will be 10:30 am on Friday so students with later departures will be spending time at the airport.

REGISTRATION FOR THE DIGITAL PASS

 Q. Who can register for the iCON Digital Pass? (What options are available for me to register at iCON?)

  • The Digital Pass is open to all students 13-18 years old and adults — because it’s in real time and online, people all over the world can join us for our premier event of the year! We have something for students AND ADULTS.

 Q. Will there be programming for students who are new members and have never been in a tournament before?

  • Yes indeed! We will provide equipping for every registered student during every programming time slot, just as we do at the in-person event.

Q. Are there any discounts or scholarships offered for iCON?

  • Discounted pricing is given to those who register before June 24. Area Coordinators may have information regarding area funds that can sometimes be used as scholarships.

Q. Will I be able to watch what I miss the next day?

  • The recorded sessions will be made available after August 15, and you'll have access to them until the end of the year.

 Q. When do I need to arrive at iCON?

  Q. When do I need to depart iCON?

  • The event will end at the conclusion of the Formal Banquet at 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 16.
  • RSAs will be dismissed after reset.
  • Housing Check-out for RSA’s is from 6:30-7:30 am Friday, July 17.

 Q. What airport should I fly into/out of?

  • The closest airport is Nashville, TN (BNA). 
  • ICC does not provide shuttle service from or to the airports for convention participants.
  • Remember that Nashville and the ICC Training Center is in the Central Time Zone.

 Q. What do I wear?

  • We like to call it Smart Casual. This includes collared shirts or dress blouses with slacks/khakis/nice jeans or skirts/dresses. Smart Casual is appropriate throughout the convention (including the Tournament) unless otherwise noted.
  • Monday & Tuesday: Tournament Attire begins at 8:30 am
  • Wednesday: Theme Dinner & Party. Dress up--it's fun! Theme yet to be announced.
  • Thursday is also the Formal Banquet. Business attire is appropriate, or dress as formally as you wish. Gentlemen: coat and tie. Ladies: dresses, pant outfits, or gowns. Please no t-shirts or jeans. 

 Q. What should I bring for the In-Person experience?

  • Be sure to bring anything you'd like for taking notes: a notebook, pens/pencils, sticky-notes, or electronic devices. We welcome and even encourage student leaders to bring your electronic devices, cell phones, laptops, and cameras to this ICC Training Event. 
  • Everyone is required to provide their own wifi --there is no wifi available for use at the Training Center. (Wifi connection is strictly limited at the Training Center.)
  • As cultural communicators in the 21st century, we will practice using these forms of media to effectively communicate with those around us. We will also spend some time discussing the proper use of the digital and “virtual” resources available to us today.
  • All electronics and cords must be clearly labeled with the owner’s name and contact information.
  • Parent/Chaperone Note: Talk with your students about taking responsibility for keeping track of their electronics, for respecting other people’s, and for appropriate conduct in the digital world. Students who bring electronics are expected to take care of them and conduct themselves appropriately. ICC takes no responsibility for the property of participants.

 Q. Is there any preparation required?

  • Preparation is an important part of getting the most benefit from iCON. 
  • Student Leaders in the RSA roles will receive separate communication about advance assignments.
  • Students competing in the International Tournament will submit scripts and videos no later than June 10.
  • All other Digital Pass students in tracks have no advance assignments.

 Q. What is the theme for the Theme Party?

  • Stay tuned for the 2020 Theme! We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

 

HOUSING FOR IN-PERSON

 Q. Is there housing available with an In-Person registration?

  • There is only housing available for PREP/RSA’s and iCON Media. 

 Q. How and when do RSA’s need to be out of their rooms?

  • Check out will be 6:30 - 7:30 am Friday morning. Please be ready to have one of our volunteers check your room as soon as possible so we are all able to leave promptly. If you need a different check-out time due to flight departures, please let us know. 

 Q. I have a unique family situation. Can you accommodate me?

MEALS

 Q. What meals are included in my RSA registration?

  • Meals are provided from the start of your In-Person ticket arrival until dismissal. Sunday dinner through Thursday dinner.

 Q. What if I have food allergies or sensitivities?
